Anesthesia-Free Cosmetic Teeth Cleaning
Anesthesia-Free
Cosmetic Teeth Cleaning
At BooBoo Pet Grooming, we are proud to partner with Linyo Pets, specialists in anesthetic-free dental cleaning for dogs and cats.
The founder of Linyo Pets began her career as a certified dental hygienist in Spain, working in human dental clinics before transitioning into veterinary dental care alongside veterinarians. After seeing the risks that anesthesia can pose for pets — especially seniors or animals with health conditions — she trained in the United States in anesthetic-free dental cleaning, a technique widely used across North America.
This method allows pets to receive professional dental cleaning without sedation, focusing on prevention, safety, and gentle care. It means your dog or cat can leave with a cleaner, healthier smile the very same day — no fasting beforehand, no groggy recovery after, and none of the added risk that comes with putting a pet under anesthesia for a routine cleaning.
Together with our professionally trained groomers, this partnership allows us to offer safe, high-quality dental and grooming services for both dogs and cats — all in one trusted place.
Meet Linda
Linda is the heart behind every appointment. A compassionate, dedicated animal care professional, she brings a deep love for pets and nature into every session. As a proud mom of two kids, three dogs, and one cat, she's spent years building hands-on experience and an intuitive understanding of how animals communicate comfort — and discomfort.
Linda is especially passionate about cosmetic dental cleaning because of what it does for a dog's quality of life: fresher breath, healthier gums, and a happier, more comfortable pet. She approaches every appointment the same way — with patience, gentleness, and genuine care for the animal in front of her.
Why Anesthesia-Free Dental Care?
Traditional dental cleanings often require full anesthesia — fasting beforehand, sedation during the procedure, and a groggy recovery after. For senior dogs, small breeds, or pets with health sensitivities, that's a lot to go through for a routine cleaning.
Anesthesia-free cleaning offers a gentler path: your dog stays fully awake and alert, with no fasting, no sedation risk, and no recovery time — they go home feeling like themselves, the same day. Every session is paced entirely around your dog's comfort, never rushed or forced.
It's also how we deliver this care that sets us apart: every dog is individually assessed before we begin, results are documented with before-and-after photos, and if a dog isn't a good candidate, we say so upfront — no charge, no pressure.
Please note: cosmetic dental cleaning is a preventive, tartar-reduction service focused on visible tartar above the gumline. It complements — but doesn't replace — veterinary dental exams or treatment of existing dental disease.
Step-by-Step Process: What to Expect
Every appointment takes about an hour, and the pace is always set by your dog's comfort — not a fixed schedule. Here's how it flows, start to finish.
1. Meet & Assess. We start with a hands-on evaluation of your dog's temperament and how they respond to having their mouth and face handled, to confirm anesthesia-free cleaning is a safe, comfortable fit. Not every dog is a candidate — and we're upfront about it either way, at no cost to you.
2. Settle In. We take time to build trust before any tools come out — letting your dog get comfortable in a secure, supported hold, with no rushing.
3. Gentle Cleaning. Using specialized hand instruments — no drills, no loud machinery, no vibration — we carefully remove visible tartar tooth by tooth, adjusting pace and position based on how your dog is feeling in the moment.
4. Polish & Finish. A gentle polish smooths the tooth surface, helping slow future plaque buildup.
5. Show & Tell. We take before-and-after photos so you can see the results for yourself.
